Do you have a gap in your smile that needs to be fixed with a dental bridge? If you don’t know what a dental bridge is, it is a restorative treatment to fix your smile, returning the functionality of your jaw and mouth. A dental bridge can also restore your smile’s look by filling in the empty space. Regainable functions after a bridge installment include the way you speak, the way you eat and chew, stress relieved on the joints, and jaw motion enhancement. Here at our dental clinic in Flemington, New Jersey, we strive to give you the best dental health treatment for you and your smile.

The three different bridge approaches will be considered by your dentist and what they believe is the best course of treatment. These typically include the use of your implants, natural teeth, crowns, and/or a combination of these options. These different approaches include a traditional-crowns connected to both surrounding teeth-, a cantilever-artificial tooth connected to a crown-, or a Maryland-artificial tooth bonded to surrounding teeth.

This dental bridge will either be made with porcelain, alloys, or a combination of different materials. An impression of your teeth is first made to get the best fit, and a dental crown is placed on each side of the missing space. This will hold the dental bridge in place and may take up to two visits while waiting for the replacement bridge.

Dr. Guy M. Bennett will then place your new dental bridge. You may need to return afterwards to ensure its comfortability and fit.
